Short Mat Section
The Short Mat Section was formed in 2000 with the opening of the new clubhouse. Two mats are utilised in the main hall. The game has become very popular in the village and the Section now has over 120 members. Most of our members are interested in playing bowls in sociable but competitive surroundings. Six sessions are now played weekly during the period Late September to mid- April when the outdoor facilities are not in use.
The weekly sessions are as follows:
| Day | 10.00am - 12.30pm | 2.00pm - 5.00pm | 6.30pm - 9.30pm |
| Monday | Informal | Informal | Informal |
| Tuesday | No | No | Leagues only |
| Wednesday | Competitions | Informal | Informal |

The Club is a member of the Dorset Short Mat League and provides teams for Divisions 3 (Wolves); 4 (Kestrels) & 5 (Rovers) . The current league tables can be found by following the link below:

For 2011, there is a joining fee of £10 per new member and an annual membership fee of £20 (£10 for the Section membership and £10 for the Club social facilities). Those interested in joining the Club and playing Short Mat should contact the Membership Secretary, Olive Holder (01202 862896). You will be very welcome!
