Welcome to our Bowls Club

Our excellent green and clubhouse are sited on the Memorial Hall land close to the centre of the village of West Moors in Dorset. Map Directions

We are a private club with outstanding year round facilities for lawn bowls and short mat bowls. Our green is now one of the best in the area and our clubhouse, just 11 years old, accommodates two short mat bowls carpets for use during the winter months. The bar and kitchen are amongst the best in West Moors and we can and do run regular social events for our members.

The Club total membership exceeds 250, mainly local residents and from nearby towns of Ferndown and Verwood. In both outdoor bowls and short mat we can offer league games to a high standard and club competitions. - Our oldest member and Honorary Vice President Eve Walker died on 11th January aged 97. An appreciation of her bowls career and her generous donations to the club will be published in the next newsletter due out in April.

- Dont forget to renew your membership in the Clubhouse on any Saturday in January, Noon - 1.30PM. Our Membership Secretary, Olive Holder, will be pleased to receive cash or cheques made out to "West Moors Memorial Bowling Club". If you cannot attend on any Saturday, please contact her on 862896 during this month. It is important if you are a Playing Member to renew by end of January to ensure your name is listed in the 2012 Fixture Book.
